Looking for the utility of packing tape with the date keeping options of a calendar? No, neither were we...but we still like this two roll calendar tape which can be applied to walls or desks for a unique and removable calendar to write upon. The only problem is our to-do list would take up much more room than this tape allows. Maybe we'll use it to wrap up gift to remind friends of important dates (like our own birthday...we jest!).

We were returning Sunday morning from our weekly trip to the Hollywood Farmer's Market when my better half noticed a gent donning a large placard advertising a single-family development called The Gatsby Hollywood, which advertised itself as "L.A.’s first all solar-powered, all green urban community." I've been looking for a long time for some nice furniture on Craigslist to replace my Ikea stuff. I recently found this set: a buffet, sideboard, table and chairs, all in maple (more photos shown below). For the amount included it is a great deal ($400) and I love the detail on the sideboard and buffet, but there is a lot of damage on the table and the chairs need to be recovered. I can do all this work, but is it worth it? I worry because this is a lot of $$ for me...
